I live in Virginia. I filed for child custody/visitation Sept. of 06. After plenty of days of going to court the judge rules to give him visitation in August of 07 (as soon as he got out of jail). Every other weekend/holiday. Finally in Nov. 07 I got ordered child support (700/month)and we have joint legal custody and I have physical custody. The problem is the person who comes to get her/drop her off is his mother. If my baby is sick she is the one who returns my phone call plus she is the one buying her clothes and everything else. He is barely paying child support(the most I've received 200)and now he's taking me to court to reduce it because he thinks she's not in daycare(she is 480/month). And on top of that he has another court date set for more visitation (unbelievable). I was wondering since I pretty much take care of my daughter by myself, can I just tell the judge I don't want child support he can keep visitation and give me sole custody? And what are grandparents rights in this whole thing? She is not in the court order!
