I suspect my ex is trying to summons me for court. Do I have to except this? I have an order of protection against him for me, my sons and my family, because of abusive. He is to have no third party contact. What happens if I don't answer my door and he cant give me the summons. Also if we ended up going to court can I use recordings by my ex that are on my answering machine? He has said that he is fighting for sole custody, and making this as ugly as possible if I dont talk to him. Just tons more that are threating and horrible. It just scares me because hes only doing this to spite me, he doesn't really want anything to do with my son. I'm just afraid he will end up seriously hurting my son, hes only 16 months old. He has already hurt my other son several times(not his son). Thank you!

If you are served, you have to respond. Most likely, he will not serve you personally. If you do not respond, he may win by default. I suggest you consult an attorney.

Yuo cannot avoid being served. He is dad and he does have rights. By trefusing to talk to him ro work something out with him it could backfire in court. You chose this man to father your child, it is time to figure out how you 2 are going to get along.

You can certainly ask fro supervised visitation and for him to take parenting classes, anger mgmt, etc..
