Child Custody Help

My husband and I have had his daugter since April 2004. Her mother seen her one weekend a month. Then we moved from Kentucky to Indiana in Feb. 2005 due to a new job offer. Her mother seen her after we moved only 2 times. In June 2005 for a weekend and then again in Sep. 2005 for a weekend. After that weekend we didnt hear from her or see her again until April 21,2006. She called and asked if everything was ok and that was it. We havent seen or heard from her since that day. What I am wondering is if we have full custody of her or not? Also has she lost all her rights and should she have to pay us child support?

She does not lose rights unless the courts termimates them and you would likely have to adopt. The fact you guys have moved is one reason she has not seen the child. Who pays for transportation? Mom should still be paying child support, if dad has filed for it and there is an order.

we would meet her half way cause she is only 1 hour away from where we live now. But if she really wanted her child she would call her and at least talk to her. but she hasnt we havent talked to her since april 21, 2006. So she must not care to much. Also to let everyone know this lady has 5 children and only has 2 of them cause she let the fathers have the others and she wouldnt have the 2 she has but their fathers walked out on her and she couldnt find them afterwards.
