child custody and child support

I have a court date in august 26, 2009 for a child supprt case. Let me start from the beginning, I wanted to put child support on my daughter's father, but I did not know that doing so will give him some rights, like taking her for a whole day. Right now the father is in jail for I dont know what, and well I dont want that once he comes out he can get his rights. He's always in and out of jail, has bad friends, and his driving record is not all that good. My question is if Im going to a child support court case can I get a lawyer and get the whole custody thing done as well??

If you file for child supp[ort, paternity will need to be established and he will have some rights to the child. You cannot expect that he will not get any. Plus are you really ever able to get any money out of him? You certainly are entitled to child support but it is not without his draw backs. If you want him to have nothing to with the child and you may not get any money out of him anyways, think about if you want to do this.
