charged with negligence

i am a cash desk consultant recently i had a shortage of R300 and my company has charged with negligence and i am being taken for a disciplinary hearing. i have worked for the company for five years now i have had discrepancy's and been given verbal to final written warning in those years of working for them. can i be dismissed? and how do i represent myself since i am not allowed to bring a lawyer to the hearing?
