A large company I do business with filed Chpt 11. I do business in TN and they filed at the corporate offices in Geogia.
The latest Notice I recieved states that "If you do not want the Court to grant relief requested (ie, approval of the disclosure Statement)then you or your attorney must attend this hearing. You may also file a written objection with the Clerk, but you are not required to do so."
They owe my small business about $3,000.00 and I have not seen any offer or amount that they are willing to settle.
I am aware that I am probably at the bottom of the pecking order as far as who would get paid first, but I am not sure what, if any, my options are.
I guess my question to you is, do I want to file an objection? what am I objecting to? I have put in a call to THEIR attorneys just to see if they can clear it up for me but have not recieved a call back and also do not know if they would be straight with me.
Any advice/reference would be helpful.
Thanks
charles
