My jurisdiction is: N.C. / USA

I was called to pick my roommate up because he had been assaulted by a number of persons. A friend and me went to get him and once there and trying to get my roommate in the car he was jumped again by numerous persons. Seeing that he was outnumbered and that if I tried to help I would be harmed I pull out my unregistered hand gun and fired two times in the air to disrupt what was happening. The firing of the gun caused the beating to stop and we grabbed my roommate and left the scene. Although, we were pulled over and I was arrested and charged with: 1) carrying a concealed weapon 2) dislodging a firearm in public and 3) disrupting the peace.

Are any of these felony charges? What likely will be my punishment? What is the best approach for handling these issues before my trial date of Dec. 10? Thanks!
