Hello,

My spouse has a handshake deal to sell his vehicle to a private buyer. No money or title nor anything else has changed hands yet.
My spouse now regrets deciding to sell this vehicle.

Can he back out of the handshake/verbal agreement to sell the vehicle, telling the prospective buyer he has changed his mind?

I dont see why he cannot change his mind. since there was nothing in writing, most likely the buyer will just have to look for another vehicle.
