car insurance denial

I sold my son a car about a month, and he had a accident with the car , I had kept insurance on it,because he works on the road and has a hard time getting to a place he can take care of the things quickly,now the company is denying the claim saying that my selling the car voided my insuance..what should I do next Do I have any opions?

Unless your son was a listed driver on your policy, prior to the sale, you likely have no recourse.

On the bright side, if they say your insurance was canceled from date of sale you should have a refund coming for coverage paid since then.

On the not so bright side, if it was only a month ago it wont be much of a refund.
Did your son register the car in his name? Did you sign over the title?
