can't wear medical alert bracelet at work

I work at a fast food restaurant and because I have epilepsy, I wear a medical alert bracelet. Today my manager told me that I need to get the medical alert necklace so that I can tuck it in my shirt at work because I can't wear bracelets. I prefer the bracelet because it is more comfortable and I don't think its fair that they are able to choose which one I get. Is there anything I can do?
