I am Canadian and I married my wife in Virginia 8 years ago. She lives in WV and we are now going to seperate/divorce. I did not move to the US or immigrate and she did not move to Canada during the marriage. I lived on and off with her over the years. I am back in Canada and would like to get a no contest divorce. She is selling her home now and shutting down her business. If she does this and hides all her money....can she come after me with alimony and is it enforceable over the border if I live here in Canada? I did not support her financially over the course of the marriage.
