Can you get deported if you were charged with 260.10 and 130.55

    Can you get deported if you were charged with 260.10 and 130.55

    my boyfriend needs to renew his green card he was arrested in 2008 he was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and sexual abuse in the third degree. the case was dismissed and he was never convicted. the record was sealed pursuant to section 160.50 of the cpl. he has been out of trouble since. can he be deported, should he seek an immigration lawyer?

    he is located in nyc.

    That particular crime, sexual assault (especially upon a child) is what the feds cal a crime of "moral turpitude".

    Yes, it can get him deported.

    Yes, he might wish to consult an attorney.

    Now, why would you wish to be around anyone that sexually assaulted a child?

    He was in high school when this happened and he was falsely accused..

    That's what they all say, whether they steal, kill, rape, scam, etc...

    It was actually proven that he was fasely accused. people get falsely accused of things everyday
