Hello all,

I'm trying to find out the answer to what I think is a simple question, and I'm hoping you may be able to help me. I've often heard that a company can't make a warranty on a product subject to your registering the product - eg, that you must return the registration card with a product for the warranty to be valid.

I'm trying to find out if, in BC:
1) That's true, and
2) can a company legally enforce something along the lines of "we'll give you a 90 day warranty, but a 2 year warranty if you register your product"

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Dirk
