Good afternoon all,
I have a question I am a bit worried that my company I work for will try to get rid of me. Last weekend I had a birthday party at my house I invited about 10 people from work. but I did not invite anyone from my department I only have 6 people in my department incluing myself. there are 2 that I would not want to hang out with outside of work. So I decided instead of just inviting 3 people I would invite none.
Well like all work places they found out and now not 1 of my co-workers will talk to me and my boss has said that they are very hurt by this. I get the feeling that they are going to try to get rid of me.
Everytime there is issues in the department they get rid of the person stating that they are up grading the position. I also have a ton of emails that the HR person sent me telling me how wrong I was pretty much harassing me.
so my question is can they fire me over this?
And do I have a leg to stand on goign to the labor department if they do?
I have sent the emails that the HR person sent me to my home email address as proof. thanks for any and all advice
