I had found an ad for a digital camera for sale in the amount of $950 on an internet classified website (www.craigslist.org). After several email agreements. I wired the money directly into this individual's account. I'm in NY, and she's in Las Vegas, NV. And she never sent me the camera, refuses to answer my emails, and her phone number is disconnected.

I have her bank account information, her address, and a phone number that does not work. How can I take action?

In almost all of these cases courts have decided that you have to sue in the jurisdiction of the defendant's residence, that is in this case in Nevada.

These kind of con artists actually bet on this, that you will find it too cumbersome to sue them across the nation.
