Hello,
My friend has gotten fired from his job recently, he was employed less than a month. (still in the training phases) From my understanding, he was told 3 different stories why he was fired.
Store manager claims he was told to fire him through email. when asked to show it, he refused.
The store manager refuses to let him speak to someone higher in the company.
Everyone at that store location is clique up, the store manager and the district manager are roomates and the other sales associate is the GF of the district manager. So my friend is left as the odd one out. ( I am sure its irrelevant, but needed to share.)
the issue is they want him to sign some documents or they will not forfeit his last check. I explained that this maybe illegal. Is there any documentation I can gather to prove that this is illegal. He also stated to me, he thinks the store manager might do something to discredit him like call the cops.
he has a new job and cannot get arrested at all because then he could lose his job.
I am aware of the basic FL employment laws and understand it is a right to work state as well as at will employment.
