the great aunt is trying g to taker to court
There is no "trying." The great aunt has either filed something in court or she hasn't.
Have you been served with a summons to court on the matter?
Can she file in court?
Of course.
Can she win?
I can't guarantee yes or no. A lot depends on the circumstances.
The following website has a very comprehensive explanation of grandparents rights (virtually none). (Aunts, uncles, and other relatives likely have less rights.)
Tennessee Grandparent Visitation Rights Law
It discusses case decisions and cites statute numbers. You can google the case names (or use google scholar) and read the full decisions and you can read the TN statutes at:
2015 Tennessee Code
If you are (or have been) served with court papers, come back to this thread to discuss.
Meantime, it's up to you if you want to deny visitation or allow limited visitation at your home to see how things go.
Try keeping in mind that older relatives tend to dote on children so it's often a big advantage for children to have that kind of relationship.
Of course, if there is some kind of issue with the aunt, you are the one who says yes or no, and it appears that no court will fault you on that.
