Can a car dealer not process your title after sale is approved

I was approved by Credit Acceptance for my car purchase on Dec 20th 2017, I put $1500 down on the $10k vehicle, the dealer wanted $1500 more down payment, stating it would make the deal go thru, but here it is the 28th of January, and Ive already paid CA the first note on the 12th, but the dealer still wont process my title & tags without the extra $1500 down payment...can he do that?

It says that I put down $3000, but I kept telling him I couldnt do it, but he insisted thats what was needed to complete the deal...

So it says 3000, you knew you couldn't afford that, but you signed anyway?

You are in quite a pickle, especially after having the car so long already. When you signed the contact you agreed to the terms in the contract.

If you can't come up with the money talk with them about options to return the vehicle. It is probably going to get repossessed.
