Problem in Michigan!

I am currently having my paycheck being garnished because of a judgement against me for an disputed medical bill. Tuesday I received court papers saying that one of my bank accounts had been frozen and was being seized because of another judgement from a credit card charge off from 2003.

Is this legal? Two at once?

Can I hire an attorney to stop this second garnishment while i'm in the process of paying off the first one?

Secondly, my paycheck is currently direct deposited into my checking account, must I change my way of receiving my check back to paper to keep the balance of it (after the garnishment is taken out) from being garnished from my bank account?

I am feeling as though I need to stop using banks altogether to protect my earnings, but it would be difficult to pay my current bills without using my checkbook and debit card.

Where do I go from here?

You need to consult with an attorney as soon as possible. Good Luck!
