Hello,
I filed (and won) a small claims suit in LA County, and am now having to take further legal steps to collect the judgment. I need to file an SC-134, and probably a number of other forms.
I filed the suit in Santa Monica because that is where the defendant lived, however I live in Ventura County and it is really difficult to take the time off I need to keep driving down to Santa Monica to file documents and go to the hearings. Am I able to file the SC-134 and other forms in my county, since it is well within 150 miles of where he lives? If not, am I able to file in a closer LA County court?
