I filed for divorce about 6 1/2 months ago. I went to follow up on the divorce decree and found out that my soon to be x-husband, filed a response, but I was never notified.
Once we agree on the property settlement, since we've already waited the 6-month waiting period, will the effective day of the divorce be the day the judge signs the papers (because I was never notified of the response like I should have been), or will the 6-month waiting period start all over?
