Recently, the builder of my home decreased the base price on all homes by 50 - 100 thousand.
I purchased a home in the first phase of a new development 6 months ago. I was told by the realtor who works exclusively for the builder that they would not drop home prices as the price of these new homes was already much below (based on price per square foot) that of the cost of homes in surrounding neighborhoods.
A few months have elapsed (6 months) since the close of escrow. I am disappointed that the builder has chosen to decrease the prices as it lowers the value of my home.
Do I have a claim against the builder for the difference in what I paid for my home and their current selling price for the same model?
