I was born in the UK and have been living in the US for almost 20 years and I would like to bring my 10 year old daughter to my homeland for a short vacation sometime this summer. However, her mom is opposed to this and is not going to hand over my daughter's passport to allow me to do so. My question is can she prevent me from bringing my daughter out of the country and is she legally entitled to have sole possession of my daughter's passport? I am fully current with child support and there are no issues concerning drugs, felonies, etc.
