I purchased a home warranty from First American Home Buyers Protection Corp. We finally needed our air conditioner worked on and the componet is covered on the warranty, however, we can not get anyone out to do the work, and First American basically told me that I'd have to find a repair man and pay for it. When I called First American, they told me that they only had one repair service in our area, but they can't get ahold of them either. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was put on hold and no one ever came on the line. We now have water damage in our basement thanks to First American. We live in Joplin, Missouri. Our city is not so small that there are no repair men here, I just don't understand that we have to hold up to our end of the contract, but they don't. Got any advice for us?
