I received a phone call from a man claiming to be an investigator/collector who was attempting to settle a bounced check from 1992. He threatened to take me to court and have me arrested for a check I allegedly bounced 16 years ago. The amount is $150 written to Ventures Dept store which has been out of business for 10+ years. I mentioned how odd this was and wasnt there a statue of limitations? He got angry and that ill be served soon and hung up.
