BF wants to establish paternity

Any help you could provide would be appreciated.

Here are the facts:

1. Married woman leaves her husband
2. Married woman and I meet, become a couple, and have a child within the same year of her leaving her husband.
3. In CA, because the child was conceived/born while she was still married, the husband has paternal rights to the child. He does not want anything to do with the child.
4. Married woman left the birth certificate blank as we were told we were not allowed to place my name on the document.
5. Married woman and I obtain DNA test that proves I am the father.
6. Married woman is in process of filing for divorce.
7. Married woman and I are still a couple and live together raising our child.

My question is - how would we go about establishing paternity? What type of documents in CA? We used a website which I am not allowed to post but basically, if you did a search on I-CAN Legal and went to California, you'd see what I am referring to.
