Being Sued for Employer Paid Medical

Can a employer sue a former employee for past medical coverage from over a year ago? The employer was paying the coverage while I was an employee. I left the company in Feb 09 and as of Jan 10 I am being sued in small claims court for medical coverage costs from Sept 08 to Feb 09.

If you are being sued, you need an attorney.

Are you being sued for the company-paid portion or the employee-paid portion? If the latter, were you on unpaid status for any of the period in question or, if not, did the deductions not come out of your check? Certainly there has been some communication from the company previous to this.
