We have already been to court and have had our divorce/child custody case finalized almost 2 years ago.
I still have a balance with my attorney (which is being paid little by little as agreed upon). I guess my ex's attorney had told my ex that I still have a balance with my attorney so he will not be representing me any longer (which, was news to me). Since my ex found this out, he's threatening to keep my 4yo daughter from me, take me back to court, get child support from me, etc. He isn't going by the parenting plan..instead he is making up his own. Christmas is coming around and he said he won't give her back to me for Christmas..etc. He just started this AS SOON AS MY ATTORNEY TALKED TO HIS about the balance.
Isn't there some sort of line that my attorney crossed over?? Isn't that a confidential matter that shouldn't leave his office???
It's just really stirred the pot and my ex, who is a bully anyway, is now taking it to his head and causing HUGE problems and is putting our 4yo in the middle. He even went as far as getting in my face last night when I picked her up and started a huge fight...in front of her. Obviously that caused her to cry and get upset. It's just getting out of control and in a sense..it's my attorneys fault. I have yet to speak with him regarding this matter because I'm trying to find out info as to what sort of privacy act there may be between a client and an attorney. There's got to be something because that's nobodys business..and it's apparently causing problems...
Not sure if anyone has any suggestions....I just don't want this to be a problem. I'm pregnant and don't need this stress.
