BEING DENIED MY POLICE REPORT FOR 2 YEARS

• Hello. I am at such a point of desperation. I was sexually assaulted 2 years ago by a NJ Fire Marshall and reported the crime to the Passaic County Prosecutors Office. A Detective took tje report and I've been trying to get a copy of it for the past 2 years. A tort claim was filed that exipires in a month and no Atty will take the case without this report. The media is interested in covering the case but cannot without the police report. I am entitled to assistance for my PTSD & Trauma but cannot get anything without this report. I have contacted everybody I could and they have nothing or don't get back to me.: The Atty Gen, OPRA, Govt. Docs...to no avail. They WILL NOT give a copy to anybody with no reason why. Severe errors made in the handling of this case were discovered that if exposed will have their jobs in jeapordy and I believe this is why. The report will have to describe how the predator, who they found guilty of Criminal Sexual Contact, continued to work in the public eye and have access to women everyday (he is also the Housing Inspector) though the Prosecutors ordered his badges to be turned in and also filed paperwork that banned him from ever working in the State of NJ again. NOT ONE PERSON FROM THE PCPO HAVE ANSWERED HOW THEY COULD HAVE ALLOWED THIS TO HAPPEN AND NOT KNOW ABOUT IT?? The Mayor of Totowa is the PRedator's best friend since childhood and is the one who ignored and condoned his actions by allowing him to wear his uniforms everyday since the assault, secretly retire & still report to work after that. NOBODY WILL HELP ME WITH THIS CASE AND MY LIFE HAS BEEN IN DANGER FROM MY DEPRESSION. I NEED TO START TO HEAL BUT CANNOT WITHOUT SOME SORT OF JUSTICE. Thank you for your help

I have tried so tirelessly to hire a lawyer but the 1st one had a substane problem, the 2nd one used me to get information on the 1st lawyer, the 3rd lawyer tried for 3 months to get the police report but couldn't so didn't take the case and any other lawyer I contact seem very interested until they call the Prosecutor's Office to get answers and then I don't hear from them again or they say they can't take the case with no reason. I've tried to get lawyers from out of the area so they are no connected in anyway to those involved but they either want the report or want a copy of the tort claim filed and other paperwork that the 1st lawyer won't give me. I have a feeling he messed up a lot of paperwork. I am destitute because of this assault and need a lawyer desperately. Nobody is in my corner at all. I lost everything and everybody. If I can find a lawyer who demands this report and will even get it subpenoaed I can start healing from this trauma and get the help I need but until then I continue to risk my life everyday by waking up..I want my life back, just a little bit of it and the Holidays by myself are the worst times of life.

If I can find a lawyer who demands this report and will even get it subpenoaed I can start healing from this trauma and get the help I need but until then I continue to risk my life everyday by waking up....

Why do you believe that the police report is your key to start healing and the key to getting the help you need? The police report is simply a piece of paper and might not even contain the information that you hope it contains. You really need intensive therapy to help in your healing process, not a piece of paper.

Because the State will help me get Trauma therapy for free if I can prove this happened and I reported it. This predator has been protected & rewarded. I have a tort claim that expires in 1 month and if I do not face this molester in court & let the judge and jury know what he did to me, and to look him in the eye and tell him to his face I am taking my life back, I know I cannot start to heal. I have had trauma therapy when I had health insurance but I need inpatient intensive to deal with a lifetime of abuse then this disgusting act forced upon me 2 years ago.

Here's an idea...try living the life of a victim who before the assault had a very high paying job, a beautiful apt., family, friends, insurance, car & more and then it all was taken from me after the assault since I've spent most of the past 2 years trying to not subcome to this!!!! Try being financially destitute as a result of something that was NOT MY CHOICE!!! I did not lose everything because I put a bottle to my mouth or a needle to my arm...I lost everything because this molester took away my mental capabilities I had before his sick perversions were put upon me!!!!! He was a town Official sent to my apt. to inspect severe damages and assaulted me while he was there...YOU TRY HAVING THE SAME LIFE AS BEFORE SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENED!!!!! I AM NOW HOMELESS, DESTITUTE & ONCE SUICIDAL BECAUSE OF THIS BASTARD...HOW ABOUT THE STATE MAKE HIM PAY FOR MY THERAPY!!! I am truly sorry that you are in the dire emotional (and physical/financial) state that you are in. My post was truly meant to be helpful. You are very angry, which is understandable. I hope that you can find the peace that you desire, no matter what the outcome of your legal quest.
