bad check Fraud, Embezzlement, Bad Checks

    I wrote a bad check in 1993 and was arrested then and took care of everything. Check writing class, paying the store I wrote the check to and went to my court date and cleaned everything up. I was arrested two weeks ago because they said I had a warrant from 1993 outstanding. 17 years ago. I have no paperwork proving that it was taken care of. What do I do?

    Hire a lawyer. Say nothing to no one, but your lawyer. When you meet with your lawyer, take ALL of your previous paperwork. You'll beat this case, unless it has something to do with probation or FTA. Those your lawyer will beat for you. Statute of limitations and due diligence will set you free as a bird!!!

    You said you didn't have your paperwork and Army said take your paperwork to the attorney. Let me clarify, if this is about the bad check, it is so old that even lack of paperwork will not make it hard to beat. Spend a couple hundred dollars and let an attorney get rid of this.
