Back Child Support not owed

My problem is back child support payment not owed. I have been recently contacted by Support Kids Inc stating I have an open case in New York for back child support for my now 33 year old son dating back to 1979. This is the kicker, I went to court in New York back then and the case was dismissed with no money owed and no other cases. Yet I was told by Support Kids Inc, I had another case and that is what they are collecting on. After being threaten by them I called Family Court to see if I did indeed have a open case, I had no cases except the one that was dismissed. I was sent a Notice of Lien and told that I was to send them $10,000.00 today or else. They also told my wife that I owe the money and that this need to be settled today. How can people do this without investigating to see if indeed back child support payment is owed?

Update on this issue, I reported them to the Attorney General Office and viewed the comments on Ripoffreport.com, it seems if you do send money to this company and have a state order to pay child support it is not connected to the state office so you are still behind with the courts....so please beware.

Glad you realized this was a scam. Anything that old is barred anyway by the SOL.
