GFs 18yr old son, still a senior in HS is charged with Burglary 3rd Degree Unlawful Entry which is a Class 4 Felony in AZ. He was videotaped 3 nights in a row vandalizing a public storage facility. The third night he decided to enter the building and do more damage there. He turned 18, just 8 days prior. This is his first offense.
My main question is if his mother is responsible, monetarily, for any damages?
I visited with the business owner and witnessed the damage and videotape. Estimated vandalism is between 30-50K. What other charges may be brought upon him?
All has been turned over to insurance company and the business owner thinks they are the ones that prosecute and go after the funds. At this point in time, he is looking at felony charges and a judgement filed against him, since he has no assets.
