Hello:
I was wanting to know if you were living in a home and the electrical bill was in the home owners name and was set up on a Automatic draft on the account. Say if I did not pay the bills when they were due, but the bill got paid thru the automatic draft, can I be arrested for steeling that money. I know I did wrong by letting the automatic draft take care of the bills, and not paying them before it took it out of the home owners banking account. I am paying the money back, and am moving out of the home. But the home owner is telling me that they are going to have me arrested for steeling money out of there account. I never took any money physically myself, I just never paid the bill and the electrical company took the money out of there account when the billing cycle came around. Can I be arrested for this.

The homeowners only option, if they chose to pursue it, would be to sue you in small claims court.
This is not a criminal offense that would result in arrest.
