My finance was sentenced to 1yr plus a 4k fine. I don't believe he was represented correctly. This charge was against his ex girlfriend. He didn't use a weapon, and he was the one who called the police when he noticed that she was hurt. I would like to appeal his case. Is this possible? I think he needs anger management, but not a year in jail. He has three kids that he activily supports. Please help

HOW did the get hurt? People can get badly hurt by beatings even without weapons. What makes you think that getting pounded by fists, feet, etc., is any better than getting whacked with a bat?

I would like to appeal his case. Is this possible?

No. But, HE can appeal. You can help him pay for an attorney to look for grounds to appeal, but if there is no possible error, he's out of luck.

Nothing says he cannot do both.

Obviously he has a violence problem ... and this is the guy you want to spend your life with??
