My Mother was asked to Move from her condo in 1990 she had a agreement in writing that when she turned over the keys, the check would be in the mail.
It was a very large building with over 300 apartments that went condo and were buying out everyone.
I as her son did not know this. She moved and got sick and was in a hospital and coma for some time.
For whatever reason she brought it up today. I am not sure but I think that statute of limitation to do anything has passed, but she does have all the documents. The check was for $30,000 What I would like to know should I speck to a local Lawyer and can anything be done.

Considering your grandmother's comdition at the time, you should first make an effort to verify that the payment was never received. Perhaps she did receive a check and the check was never cashed since she was in a coma?
Have you contacted the company that owed the money to see what they have to say?
