Are we emancipated because we're married????

We are sixteen and we are married. My mother-in-law refuses to let us move out. Can we do it anyway? What i really really need to know is are we emancipated and if so, do we need legal papers saying we are? Thnx so much to any who can help us!!! We are in desperate need to live our own lives.

If you are "legally" married then yes you are emancipated, however if your marriage ends before your 18th Birthday you go back to parental rule

Thanx SOOOOOOOOOOOOO much!!! Yes, we are leggaly married. Another question-- Can either of our parents annul the marriage? We were told that that they cant without a good reason. So confused.

No one here can say that without the details of why and your states statutes on anullment

Didn't your parents have to sign a consent form to allow the marriage? Why would they want to annul now?

Are you legally married in the state where you reside? If your respective parents allowed you to marry for some odd reason, then they really are not likely to seek to have it annulled ... and probably can not.
