I've found similar posts on this forum, but didn't see any answers.
I live in Washington State and my former sister-in-law lives in Oregon. She constantly tells my children that I am a pathological liar and insane. The latest is that I'm schizophrenic and need to be hospitalized.
She has taken them in the past and refused to return them or let me speak to them. I've never called the police or charged her with custodial interference because I thought it would be traumatic for the kids.
I'd love to prevent her from seeing them, but my ex drops them off in Oregon when he has visitation, or they go to see their paternal grandparents and she takes them from there.
Is this a defamation case? The kids are teens now, but it's very upsetting to them for their aunt to be saying this about me. Their father refuses to stand up to her. I'd like it to stop!
