I married my husband, who came to the U.S. illegally from Mexico years ago. We have a child (born in the US) and I to am a US citizen. We sent our application to apply for a visa over a year ago and have been waiting for a reply regarding the application. In Deceber of this year my husband was assaulted, and to make a long story short, was put on an ICE hold and paid for his voluntary deportation and was sent back to Mexico in April. Yesterday I recieved in the mail an approval notice from Immigration. If my husband was deported voluntarily, does this mean we can continue with trying to get his visa? or do I just not waste my time or money?
