My husband has 2 children with his ex-wife, he was diagnosed with schizoaffective dissorder and in and out of the mental hospital duing the divorce and did not attend any of the court hearings, I realize this was a HUGE mistake but was not around during this time so can do nothing about it. We do not have a copy of the divorce decree and live in another state now so it's taking some time to get, I'm not sure if he was granted any visitation the divorce decree will tell us that I assume. The biggest problem here is we have no way of contacting his Ex-wife she has moved, and changed all her phone numbers and contact info. In January my husbands daughter choked and is now on life support with little chance of waking up, when the accident happened nobody contacted my husband for a week, as soon as we got the news we drove to Colorado to see the baby, when we were there she only let my husband in for a short amount of time just to say his goodbyes and when we asked about his son my husband was told this was not about him. I just want to know if there are laws pertaining to parents and the right to know the health of their children regardless of custody.
