Alimony/statute of limitations in CA

To Whom It May Concern:

I have been divorced for about 12 years and my ex-wife has come out of the woodworks and stated to me that since I have become financially successful since our divorce she is entitled to a portion of it. She claims the emotional damage I caused her has ruined her trust of men and she should be compensated. I think my ex has visited another planet since our divorce and it is absurd and looney of her possible actions. What are her chances of alimony if she proceeds with this insanity?

Probably zero. She is not entitled to alimony 12 years down the road. Stop listening to her. Have you actually been served with papers? You still need to respond but its unlikely she will get very far with this.
