I have been married almost 40 years and now, finally, I am courageous enough to file for divorce. My husband has been threatening me that if I ever divorce him, he would spend all the money in lawyers so I do not get any. Not only is he doing that but he is also planning to retire by the end of this year 2008 at the age of 58 so that the law cannot force him to pay me alimony. He says that I will get part of his retirement pension; and this he calls alimony.
Does anybody know more about this?
