Airline travel agent tickets payment

I had purchased airline tickets from a travel agent in Dec 2007. I had put it on my credit card. Last week after 10 months I got a call from the travel agent saying that the amount wasnt paid. I looked at my credit card history and noticed that I was charged for only 1 ticket rather than being charged for 3 tickets. I am willing to pay for the remaining 2 tickets (around 2000$) but my financial situation as of today will allow me to make monthly payments and complete the payments in a year.

If the travel agent agrees, well and good. If he doesnt agree what could he do to make me bite my finger nails and make me arrange that money somehow in full.

He can probably sue you in small claims court. Try to negotiate (either on your own or through mediation) monthly installments that you can afford so you don't put yourself in a little bit of a financial pickle. Good Luck!
