My daughter 18, was charged with aggravated child molestation. She has a history of mental illness and a psychological evaluation determined that she comprehend s things on a 14 year old level. She was taken to the sheriff's department by some one pretending to be me and advised to talk to a detective where she gave a full confession. The female victim was 11 at the time. My daughter was allowed to spend a week with her (without my knowledge) and then the grandmother brought her to my house to stay the night. Where they both lied to me and said she was 16. Can anyone please give me any advice as to what to expect? Please she has a public defender that barely talks to me and upon our first meeting informed that she could get life in prison...

It is for your daughter's protection that the PD will not speak to you. Anything SHE tells him is protected. That protection is broken if you are included.
