adoption and divorce

My wife and I started an adoption about a year ago. Both me and her signatures are on the paperwork. Currently, we have separated, and are filing for a divorce, and she has told me she is going to cancel the original adoption, and complete the adoption on her own, without my name on the paperwork. Is this possible?

I don't see why its possible that child is just as much yours as it is hers. You really need to talk to an attorney. I asume this is a non biological child from neither of you, and not mom's bio child? Do you have a relationship at all with the child?
