Accused of "touching a child"

After a very messy break up with my wife (we are in the middle of a divorce), my 19 year old step daughter has falsely accussed me of "touching" her when she was 10 years old. How can I defend myself against this? Can they arrest me on just her word? I have recently been layed off and can not afford a lawer. I'm confused on how they can prosecute on this, since it is my word against hers. I have not heard from the police, just an angery phone call from my ex.

My brother was accused of the same thing by his step daughter and has been paying for it for 20 years now. He said - she said. He was convicted. She has since recanted her story, but the damage is done now. He must now register as a child molester wherever he goes. Get a lawyer. Now! Good Luck..........
