Nothing more might ever come of the misdeed to which you admitted to doing, as noted below.
I was on an online dating/flirting site and was chatting (briefly) with what I thought was a 20 year old. He asked for a pic of me, I sent, then he sent one back of his junk.
I asked his age after and he informed me he was 17, I immediately deleted him, blocked him, even deleted the app and my profile entirely.

There are dozens of TEAMS of law enforcement officials who monitor such internet traffic 24/7.
In some cases they'll locate your physical address and come calling.
If that happens, the best thing for you to do is say the following: "I wish to avail myself of my 'right to remain silent'. I want to consult a lawyer."
Then no matter what is said, say nothing more, admit to nothing.
Do cooperate with the arresting officers and the booking process.
Do provide your name, date of birth, address, and other identifying particulars.
DON'T say anything about anything else.
If you're smart, stay away from all of those online dating sites forever, or at least until you learn how this incident develops.
If you're really worried, destroying the device used to communicate to the child wouldn't be a stupid thing to do.
