On a day when it had been snowing and the parking spaces were difficult to identify my wife parked in a shopping center lot. Upon leaving the lot she ran over the base of the handicap sign which was above ground level. In turn the pole tilted and fell over on the vehicle causing damage. It is clear that the pole had been previously damaged. Can the owner be held responsible for damages.
