I was recently injured on while working as a on site property manager, I suffered renal faiure, I told my boss and employer and than was fired shortly thereafter.
I had been working at this job for over 7 years, I was an idependant contractor, but now I find out I was missclassfied and since my building is over 16 units and am required to live there I am concidered an employee my employer did not provide WC.
My employer didnt pay into any taxes or UI.
What are my options?
