She had a lover I didn't know about and She Married Me! Is this not Fraud?
Hello,
I'm new to this group and wondered if an expert could advise me if I have a case for Annulment due to Fraud?
I was living with my long term girlfriend and finally decided to "pop the question" a few years ago. She accepted, was excited to be getting married to me (so she says), and so we did...in front of god, friends and family.
Two years later I learned by accident that she has been sleeping with her best friends husband at least monthly...sometimes more often, for the past decade. She didn't even stop this during our engagement or after our marriage! She said, in response to my devistation, "I just hoped you wouldn't ever find out...I guess I'm just selfish"
The question is, do I have a real chance of getting this fiasco annuled? It matters ALOT to me, even though I understand a straight divorce is simpler in CA, I just don't want the stigma attached to this huge mistake I made (but then, I didn't have a clue this was going on).
What if she fights it (the annulment) or deny's it (the long-standing affair)?
