60 day notice from tenant in lease binding?

I have it written in the lease that the tenant will provide a 60 day notice. The tenant was in for only 6 months. He is a member of the military and was provided military housing.

Can I hold them to the 60 day notice?

I don't understand. Are you saying that the tenant has to provide a 60 day notice to leave? How long was the lease? Coudl the tenant leave at any time provided that the adequate notice was given? The tenant finding other housing would not absolve him from the obligations of the lease he signed with you unless it says so in the lease.
